Scottish Coins and Celtic Coins
The Celts were not without their own forms of currency. Like most of the world, they used hack-silver and bartered valuables when necessary. But in other times, as they adopted more traditional customs from the world at large, they used coinage. At Dark Knight Armoury, we offer a selection of Celtic coins, as well as Scottish coins that came later in history. Each of the coins found here are struck, offering an authentic and realistic look and feel. They are also all made from metal, some being plated pewter and others being solid with polished or antiqued finishes. The Celtic coins recreate currency from various groups and eras, including coins attributed to the Armorican and the Catuvellauni. And as the Scots are descended from the Celts, their own coins have some similarities, featuring traditional Celtic designs along with the faces and features of historic figures of the time. Perhaps the most famous Scottish coin we offer features the likeness of Mary, Queen of Scots! Great as collectibles, these Scottish and Celtic coins are a perfect way to share some history with others, as well as a great way to bring some into your life as well. Do not worry, though - you do not have to provide fair trade to Dark Knight Armoury, as we take a more traditional method of payment - modern currency.
