The Eagle

The Eagle is an epic historical film that is based on the Ninth Spanish Legion's supposed disappearance in Britain around the year 117AD. The film boasts an impressive level of realism, featuring an astonishing level of authenticity and accuracy in its design. And for that reason Dark Knight Armoury strives to offer you accurate to screen reproductions from this film, ensuring that when you hold a weapon or wear a garment that is licensed from The Eagle, you know it is as close to accurate to history as is possible. The film stars Channing Tatum as Marcus Flavius Aquila, who is a young Centurion who seeks to regain his family's honor by reclaiming the eagle standard that was lost 20 years prior by his father and the Ninth Legion when they vanished in Britain. Marcus (Tatum) is accompanied on his journey by Esca (played by Jamie Bell), a British slave that Marcus saved from the pits. Together, the two seek the eagle north of Hadrian's Wall, and indeed, they find it, although the standard brings them to battle the fiercest enemies that Britain can offer. Located here are all manner of arms and armor that are perfect for a variety of Roman looks, echoing the realistic look that The Eagle sought in its costuming, making these licensed products a great choice for the Roman reenactor. Armor, swords, shields, and helmets perfect work in recreating a true Centurion's look, while a few clothing items work wonders for creating the casual roman attire, too.
