This shield derives its name from its simple design. Featuring a straight-lined cross across its surface, this St. George Shield features the design of the cross of St. George, although here it is featured in non-traditional colors of orange and white. St. George is one of the most venerated saints in many different Christian doctrines, and he is often credited with having slain a dragon to rescue a fair maiden. This shield is a classic heater shield, possessing a roughly triangular shape with curved edges and a flat top, as well as a moderate size that makes it far more manageable then the larger medieval shields. The shield has an orange background, set with a simple white cross on its surface. It is made from quality materials and is a fully functional shield that can either be used in battle or hung up as a display.
