The duel was a common way for nobility to work out their otherwise irreconcilable differences. Of course, the duel was a brutal thing, although the pistols involved could also be highly ornate, just like this 18th Century Belgian Dueling Flintlock. After all, it makes sense that nobles would only use the finest of firearms, especially when they were planning on turning them on each other. This dueling pistol is an absolutely stunning flintlock design, one that features a simulated ivory grip that's been attractively carved to feature a checkered pattern as well as beautiful leaf patterns. The tip of the grip is further accented by an impressively engraved butt plate. The engraved barrel and trigger guard feature a matching antique metallic grey finish, which meshes quite nicely with the pistol's grey-finished flintlock mechanism. The overall effect is that this pistol looks both beautiful and functional. The pistol measures approximately 11.75 inches long.
