The top and the bottom of this stein's black glazed body are each decorated with two hand painted gold-leaf bands. But the focal point of this stein is the raised-relief pewter band in the center. Featuring three separately cast deep relief pewter griffin heads, with rings in their mouths, are attached to the pewter band. A wrap-around pewter border decoration of eagles, serpents and lions completes the body design. On top of the ornate pewter lid is a pewter winged griffin figurine. This stein is produced in a worldwide edition limit of 5,000 pieces. Each piece is registered and individually numbered. This stein is not only a great collectible piece, it is fully functional and ready to be used, drink in style!
