Often remembered for its use during the French Revolution, the guillotine is a device built to simplify capital punishment. The Miniature Guillotine is a replica of this tool, displaying the ingenuity and terror of its design. The guillotine made its first appearance in the late 18th century and continued to be used until 1977. Authentically emulating the early designs, this model features a wooden frame positioned on top of a small platform. An angled blade is suspended by a rope within the frame, which features a grooved track to ensure that the blade falls straight downward. At the bottom of the design, a stock with a neck hole appears with a hollowed section through which the blade falls. Further enhancing the realism of this design, a head sized bowl is featured beside the stock and a ladder leans against the platform. Accent your decor with the dreadful design of the Miniature Guillotine.
