Knights and many other warriors are wise when they plan to protect their chest in battle. Wear the 15th Century European Breastplate. Made from 16 gauge mild steel, this breastplate secures onto the body with leather straps at the shoulders and the lower back. The shoulder straps cross each other. In addition, there are two short straps at the shoulders for attaching to backplates that have buckles. Backplates do not come included. This chest piece has a rounded neckline and cutouts for the arms. The neckline and arm holes have rolled edges. Also, the edges feature linear detailing. Next, there is a ridge that runs down the center of the breastplate. Along the bottom, the torso armor flares outward for a short section, like a fauld. Add the 15th Century European Breastplate to your ensemble for a historical reenactment. It works well with a variety of medieval and fantasy characters.
Please note that steel thickness may vary slightly due to the handcrafted methods used in the manufacture of this item.
