The Late Roman Spatha Sword is equally great for those warriors who ride into battle or command the Roman Empire from a seat in the Senate. Made from EN45 high carbon steel, this sword has a flat, double-edged blade. Based on a historical example, this sword has a longer blade design which was popular for mounted cavalry. This sword continues with a short crossguard. The crossguard is rounded on the grip side. Then, the hilt continues with a ridged bone grip before ending with a rounded pommel. A carved design adorns the pommel. Finally, the sword comes with a wooden scabbard. Red leather wraps around the leather. The scabbard has brass fittings, including a loop for hanging the scabbard from a belt, not included. Bring this sword to a historical reenactment or add it your Roman sword collection. It looks great on display.
