The clan leader calls for a nighttime raid against a nearby village. You pick up your trusty spear with the Viking Spearhead on its tip. Made from carbon steel, this spearhead has a thick, blunt tip for safety. It features a diamond-shaped blade and a long socket. There is a ridge down the center of the blade. At the base of the blade, there is a socket for attaching it to a haft, not included. On the socket, there are two wings with rectangular tips. The wings are slightly wider than the blade. Historically, the central ridge gave the spearhead more penetrative power while the wings were useful for parrying weapons and helped to prevent over penetration. In addition, the socket has a slit down the side which allows it to fit better on a shaft. This spearhead is a great item for DIY projects, reenactments, or displays. The Viking Spearhead is also a wonderful collectible piece.
